I have a new group of artists I am mentoring with Mastrius.com. The name of the group is Aspiring Textile Artists (MG784)
We have one two-hour session each month together.
You also have mid-month video sessions with the group, a chat group for connections, an online studio space for your work, and access to the session recordings and other weekly events. with another artist who acts as “navigator” facilitating all the details.
We are studying fiberart through the development of art quilts. Making hand dyed textiles, understanding how to use those fabrics in a design, and then how to finish the art piece using quilting techniques are all part of the learning in this group.
You can join and be a member as long or as short as you want. Our meetings include discussion, technique analysis/demos, color mixing, elements of design, finding your style, self-critique, supplies/tools, and homework. I will guide our topics by the needs and interests of the group.
